- Polish pastries are not "so bad for you" if eaten in moderation and you're getting enough exercise. Generally speaking, Poles under age 50 are pretty slim in comparison to Americans and Brits. Lots of walking, no snacking between meals, and small dinners during weekdays are the key.

- If you will be in Poland again, look for dedicated donut bakery near Warsaw Central. It is in the back underground alley, but they have like 40 tastes of donuts there - with almonds, snickers, rose & cherry etc.
